On Sunday, we walked thru what it means to "LOOK IN" (click HERE for the sermon)and the fact that God has gifted each and every one of us in different ways that are intended by Him to be used to serve his Church. We said that Church is not a spectator sport, but is instead more like a "pot luck" where we all bring that one thing we are really good at to the table and we all get filled and benefit from it. In my sermon, I mentioned that the primary way we LOOK IN is by being in community and letting ourselves be really known by that community. If you don't have a group of trusted Christians around you in your life, LOOKING IN will be difficult, if not impossible. We need each other! I also said that there are a number of useful online tools to help get assessed. Again, these are useful but are secondary to being in a community that loves you and knows you. Check out the suggested resources below, and this week, spend some time practicing "SOAP" in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
Check out the links below. Remember, these tests and assessments aren't perfect, so use them, but don't use them apart from being really connected into your community of faith!
